Heartland Health Resource Center helps individuals coordinate and afford HIV/AIDS related care. Our social workers will work with you one-on-one to identify appropriate healthcare professionals, arrange for government-based financial assistance and provide counseling and support groups. Finding doctors and other HIV AIDS healthcare providers
- Information on Infectious Disease Specialists in your area of residence
- Assistance setting up appointments and providing transportation to those appointments
- Information on selecting primary care providers in eastern South Dakota
- HIV / AIDS Therapy services
- Arranging dental appointments and/or providing referrals
- Arranging vision appointments and assisting with cost of corrective eyewear if needed
- Information regarding all medical needs for HIV positive clients who recently relocated to South Dakota
Finding information about HIV AIDs medication, compliance and requirements for benefits
- Information packets and free materials to assist in compliance with medication and attending physician appointments
- Medication reminders via med ready machines, text or email or a combination of sources
- Assistance with techniques to limit medication side effects when first beginning HIV medication regimen
- State of South Dakota ADAP Formulary (medication cost of or co-pay that is covered for people with insurance)
Finding more information about Ryan White Part B and Ryan White Part C

- Enrollment in Ryan White Part C provides an additional layer of assistance for clients enrolled in Ryan White Part B/ADAP services. Services can only be obtained through the Ryan White Part C program, if you are a patient at the community health center in Sioux Falls.
