Heartland Health Resource Center is operated by three licensed certified social workers, Amber Corey, Ashley Hosek, and Vicki Harkness, who are assisted by volunteers and a board of directors. Meet the staff:
Amber Corey, MSW, LCSW-PIP
DIRECTOR, Quality Management Coordinator
- Began employment at Heartland Health in January of 2013
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Private in Practice in the State of South Dakota
- Master’s in Social Work from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA
- Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Presentation College, Aberdeen, SD
- Provides both medical and non-medical case management services for clients
- Completes yearly quality management reports for the Ryan White Part B program statewide
- Provides client assistance for health insurance application completion and understanding health insurance benefits
- Co-leads support groups offered at Heartland Health
- Specializes in insurance benefits, grant applications, individual therapy, and non-profit operations
Ashley Hosek, MSW, LCSW – PIP
Program Supervisor
- Began employment with Heartland Health in January 2012
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker Private in Practice in the State of South Dakota
- Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA
- Bachelors Degree in Social Work from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, SD
- Provides both medical and non-medical case management service for clients
- Co-leads support groups offered at Heartland Health
- Completes Ryan White Part B client eligibility reviews and program enrollments
- Specializes in individual, couples and group therapy services, community referrals, and program development

early intervention services Supervisor
- Began employment with Heartland Health in April 2020
- 15+ years working with HIV services
- Licensed Certified Social Worker in the State of South Dakota
- Master’s Degree in Public Health from Capella University
- Master’s Degree in Social Work from University of North Dakota
- Provides both medical and non-medical case management services, specializing in early intervention services
- Co-lead support groups offered at Heartland Health
- Processes co-pay and co-insurance costs for outpatient medical bills, dental, and vision services for active clients
- Specializes in early intervention services, individual therapy, community referrals, and program development
